The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a fantastic option if you're seeking a robot vacuum and mop that is middle-of-the-road. It's a great mopping capabilities, but is lacking some of the advanced features found in its more expensive counterpart.

In tests it was able to eliminate pet hair and dry oats out of medium-pile carpets. But, unlike cheaper models, it doesn't employ LIDAR to map out your home.

1. iRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuums. It offers impressive cleaning power and plenty of features that include an automatic dirt bin built into its charging base. The robot also learns your cleaning habits and suggest schedules that are automatic for a truly hands-free experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the setup process. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automated cleaning process at the touch of one button. You can select a general clean that prioritizes cleaning up larger debris like rice and cereal or two thorough maps of your home to ensure your entire home gets a proper look.

This robot vacuum is effective on both floors that are bare and low-pile carpet. It is able to pick up pet hair and also suck big objects up. It doesn't lose its suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It has a difficult time with plush or high-pile carpet, but iRobot says it will improve with future models.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that concentrates on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt an open-fronted, flat-fronted design, which will allow it to be able to swaddle furniture and walls. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are common, but we found it only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims that the S9+ comes with an improved filtering system that stops tiny dust particles and allergens from circulating in your home. We think this is a nice claim however, it's not enough to justify a higher price.

Its smart navigation system employs a combination of sensors to remember the layout of your home and vSLAM technology to map your interior. It then cleans your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and create virtual boundaries so that the robot can determine what areas require extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it is about robots that combine vacuuming and mopping, the Roborock Q Revo stands out. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those on higher-end models and its mopping feature is superior, as its spinning pads do a better job of scrubbing your floors than a stationary vibrating pad.

The only downside is that it does not have a second rubber brush to provide more thorough cleaning, but it's an acceptable cost to pay for if you are looking for one of the top robots on the market. The dust tank on the robovac is bigger than most of its competitors. Filling it up only takes two or three cycles even when you've got the most dirt.

In terms of the mopping device, I was amazed with its ability to scrub off the tough dirt off my floors. The two lowest mopping settings that are less powerful than high-powered modes, produce very little noise, so you can work or watch TV without being distracted. If it comes into contact with the wall or a piece of furniture, it gently bumps into it and then moves along.

What really makes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to function almost completely autonomously, requiring only a little for human intervention. The dock of the robo-vac has multiple functions and can automatically transfer trash into a hidden bin. It also cleans, dries and refills the clean water tank. The app will only alert you when something is wrong like a low clean water tank or a canceled vacuuming session due to an empty bin.

You can also design and merge actual rooms to customize the way that Q Revo will treat your home. That's a handy feature for those who have multiple areas of your home with different floor materials or if there's some clutter that needs to be cleared out frequently, such as clothes, toys, and books. The robot vacuum is also efficient and was one of the top performers in my tests, taking debris from carpets as well as hardwoods on the first pass. It can vacuum up even wet spills. I suggest drying the area with a towel prior to sending it into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a premium robot vacuum and mop combo and more. It has the ability to rotate mops and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It's similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has self-cleaning bases that automatically cleans and empty the mop pads, keeping them clean and ready for use again. It also has a new sensor system that better detects obstacles, giving it the ability to avoid falling over furniture or other objects.

The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that it is sleeker and more modern design due to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still quite large. It is more than two feet in height and depth and weighs nearly four pounds. However the robot as well as its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo and best affordable robot vacuum iRobot J7.

This version is also more efficient than the X1 version, since it has a faster charging speed for batteries and can handle a complete cleaning of around 1,500 square feet with just one charge. It also comes with a larger and more robust dustbin that can store more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

Finally, the X2 Omni has a more user-friendly app and voice assistant that operates offline, allowing you to manage it even when not home. It also has additional mopping modes as well as an intelligent routing feature that allows you to clean specific rooms or areas of your house instead of just following a specific path.

The Omni X2 Omni has the best mopping performance of any robot we've tested, due to its mop pads that rotate to clean tough stains away and a motor that generates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is excellent, and it increases suction when it senses a carpet to ensure a thorough cleaning. It has a large, rechargeable battery that can last up to a week. The mopping feature of the robot is also powerful.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a top-quality model that comes with a variety of convenience features not often found on robots of this price. It can build detailed floor maps, detect various flooring types and is one of the few robots that automatically wash and dry the mop pads. But while these functions are nice to have however, they also push the L10s Ultra into the luxury category, which might make it somewhat more expensive than the average homeowner require.

Created to look like a modern floor cleaner designed to look like a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim machine with an elegant white finish highlighted by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by an enormous bumper, which protects furniture and vacuum cleaners from damage while moving through the house. Sensors are concealed behind the front panel, which helps the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum there is a single button which acts as an on/off switch. Clicking this will turn on the vacuum, and pressing it again will turn off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The circular menu at the center of the control panel allows you to select cleaning modes, schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons below the screen will bring up the app's settings menu where you can alter the way that the L10s Ultra integrates with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map your home. This produces a precise floor plan that allows the robot vacuum and mop efficiently, without getting stuck in cluttered areas. The LIDAR also lets the robot vacuum detect and avoid obstacles, which is a nice feature for households with children or pets.

The L10s Ultra is an extremely powerful vacuum cleaner that removes 98.4% debris from our test on hard floors and getting rid of all but the most stubborn juice staining. Its mops are efficient, clearing 98.4 percent of the debris that was found on our wood, tile, and carpet tests. It was not as efficient in removing sand from the hard floor or quaker oats from the carpet.
